How to Prepare the Seed Gel

- Prepare the Soil: Go out to your garden and draw a shallow, straight line or “mini trench” in the loose dirt where you want your carrots to grow. The line should only be about half an inch deep.
- Snip the Bag: Take your plastic bag filled with the seed gel and use scissors to cut off one tiny corner at the bottom. This turns your storage bag into a squeezing tool, much like a pastry bag used for frosting a cake.
- Squeeze the Gel: Hold the bag over the trench and gently squeeze the mixture out as you move your hand down the line. The gel will drop into the dirt in a steady, controlled stream, carrying the seeds with it. Because the seeds are spread out in the gel, they will fall perfectly spaced apart.
- Cover and Wait: Once your gel line is laid down, gently pinch the dirt back over the trench to cover the mixture. Pat it down lightly to ensure the seeds are secure.
